The forest game
Ongoing Project
Navigate through the complex choices that shape the forest's future.
The project's purpose is to create dialogue and insight into the forest's role in a sustainable future through an interactive board game. The goal is to develop a game prototype where various actors in the forest value chain can explore scenarios, negotiate, and make decisions with clear consequences. By testing the game with relevant stakeholders, the project aims to contribute to new perspectives and a deeper understanding of sustainable forest strategies.
We hope to increase the understanding of the forest's role in a sustainable future, strengthen dialogue between stakeholders, and reduce polarization. Through the game, participants gain new insights into the consequences of different decisions, potentially influencing future business models and policies. In the long run, we aim to inspire more sustainable forestry strategies and greater collaboration between research, industry, and policy.
The development of the game is carried out in close collaboration with a relevant group of experts and stakeholders in the forestry sector. Based on solid research and knowledge, we develop the game iteratively, guided by insights from participants. The game is tested by representatives from different parts of the forest value chain to reflect diverse perspectives. Beyond this, the game has the potential to reach a broader audience and spark discussions about the role of forests in a sustainable future.
